Los Angeles Mayor Supports Meter Readers |

We are pleased that the Mayor of L.A. who has a long history of working with unions including the time he was actually an employee of one, has written a letter in support of the SoCal Gas’s meter readers. They face an uncertain future as the Co. attempts to replace them with more expensive automatic reading equipment which will actually raise rates to consumers. His action was at least in part because of the public campaign now in process by the Local to save these jobs.
